STEP'13

Our IEEE SXCCE SB conducted the prestigious Student Transition and Elevation Program STEP '13 on 28th September, 2013 at Rock Auditorium. Around 79 members from various colleges including Annai Vellankanai College of Engineering, Ponjesly college Of Engineering, Maria College of Engineering, Marphram College of Engineering and Cape Institute of Technology participated in this program. The STEP'13 was sponsored by IEEE GOLD Madras Section. The inaugural function started at 9am with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries.
The gathering was welcomed by our SB coordinator Mr. A. Darwin Jose Raju, Chairman, IEEE GOLD AG, Madras Section. Then, our correspondent, Rev.Fr.A.Jesu Marian gave a brief presidential address mentioning IEEE making networking possible breaking all the horizons. Then our principal, Dr.S.Joseph Sekhar felicitated the program giving appreciation saying IEEE as the most active group in our college. Our alumni guest Mr.Jeffrin Rex, Functionality Expert, DigitaCampus who was the immediate passed IEEE SXCCE SB chairman gave us an inspirational speech on active volunteering and leadership qualities in IEEE. A memento was presented to the alumni guest as a token of our gratitude. The inaugural session ended with the vote of thanks given by our WIE faculty advisor Prof.A. Subitha.
The morning session began at 10a.m. with spitting of the teams into 9 groups consisting of members from different colleges. Then the teams were named after the colors and where guided by our GOLD members. 
The morning session ended at 1pm with lunch served. Then the afternoon session started with introduction to the chief guest, Mr. Arun Gladwin, Vintage by our branch counselor Prof.C.John Moses.The dignities were welcomed and honored b Mr.Jenil.J, Chairman IEEE SXCCE SB.

 The afternoon session was made interesting by chief guest talk on "Positive and Negative Attitude". The talk emphasized on the attitude management, gaining positive attitude and many more. The session energized all those who were present. As the session got over feedback was collected about the event and suggestions were asked to improve the event next time.
